J. Oliver Products, LLC is a new company backed up by extensive industry experience. James Oliver founded the company in March 2006. He has worked in both brands and generics, spending 25 years with Velsicol and Sandoz, and 10 years in off-patent products. "Instead of being owned by a large corporation,

  
 J. Oliver Products is an independent company—like the growers that it serves," Oliver says. "Companies like ours bring competition to the major corporations and lower the cost for farmers. The
cost of production—including the price of seed, technology fees, diesel fuel and fertilizer—is skyrocketing. One of the few cost relief items available to growers is off-patent products, which bring competition to the marketplace and help lower farmers' cost.

"We're one of the few privately-held chemical companies. Most corporations are less responsive to farmers' needs than an independent like us. What's right for the farmer is right for us—we're lean and can pass along our savings to growers."

Since its beginning, the company has aggressively expanded its product portfolio. "We use four different state-of-the-art manufacturing plants," Oliver says, "and we're backed up by some of the best formulation chemists in the industry.

Office Manager Andrea Lester helps keep the company running, whether she's tracking a shipment across the country for timely delivery or registering a product with the EPA. The company has four office employees, two part-time employees and two regulatory professionals. Personnel will grow to fit demand.

 
 

Always read and follow all labels. Not all products are registered for use in every state, and some states identify certain products as "Restricted Use" only for sale to certified pesticide applicators.
